Barend Burgers is committed to his clients and places the focus on personal, friendly, efficient and expeditious service to the client, while not neglecting the high ethical standards laid down by the profession. Barend has indicated that he wants to use the technology of this modern age, namely e-mail and the internet, to keep clients informed about the progress of their cases. It is very fairly commonly known that the most frequent complaint by clients about their attorneys is that the clients don’t know what is going on with their cases. Barend submits that regular progress reports via e-mail can change that situation.

Although television programmes such as “Petrocelli”, “Matlock”, “Perry Mason” and “LA Law” have nothing to do with the South African legal environment and are in fact depicted as more glamorous, all these programmes have contributed to Barend Burgers’ interest in law and his inherent notion to strive for justice.
